1/02/2010 - LPG Rebate changes
If your vehicle is registered in your name and you have not yet claimed, you are eligible to claim the government rebate.
The rebate is easy and fast to claim. All you need to do is take the filled out form from your installer to medicare for lodgment. You will usually receive your cheque within a week.
Until the 1st of July 2010 , the government pays $1750 towards halving your fuel bill, there really is
no better time to install. ( rebate drops to $1500 afterwards )
LPG Vehicle Scheme
Two different grants are available subject to program eligibility criteria:
- a grant of $1,750 for the LPG conversion of a new or used petrol or diesel motor vehicle;
- a grant of $2,000 for the purchase of a new motor vehicle with a LPG unit fitted at the time of manufacture.
